[[The Interview]]
You have been asked to interview for a dock job that pays $20 per hour and consists of moving boxes of fish around the warehouse. The job posting you applied for said hours are going to be on an "as needed" basis and may be at any time of the day or night. You have worked in a similar position, so you feel well qualified for the job.\n\nYou have a couple more days before the interview. During breakfast you are reading the paper and you see and advertisement for the company you would like to interview with. You glance briefly at the ad. You are aware that your interview is tomorrow and you think about learning more about the company. A group of popular friends has asked if you want to go to the White Owl and have some drinks tonight and you're anxious to be with them.\n\n* <<choice "Choose to go with your friends">> \n* <<choice "Stay home and research the company">> \n* [[HELP ME DECIDE|knowthengo.html]]
<<set $go = true>>You had a great time with your friend. You were loud and obnoxious most of the night and even told some really old guy to go jump in a lake. He was probably the grumpiest person you had ever met. You didn't get in until 1AM and feel asleep almost instantly. You do remember to set your alarm for one and a half hours before the interview is supposed to start so you can have time to prepare yourself for it.\n\nThe day of the interview has arrived. You hit your snooze alarm enough that you had an extra hours rest from when it first went off. You feel groggy and a little sickish. You take a long shower to help you wake up. When you get out you realize it is almost time for the job interview. You are going to have to hustle if you are going to make it on time. There is no time for breakfast or to find out anything about the company.\n\nYou rush to your closet to find something to wear. You see your grandfather's tuxedo that you wore to your best friends wedding just the other day and remember how sharp you looked in that outfit. You are also considering wearing khakis, a polo shirt and some loafers. You don't have much time so you have to hurry up and get an outfit quick!\n\n<<tiddler "Outfit">>
<<set $go = false>>You wisely choose not to go out with your friends so you can prepare yourself for the interview tomorrow morning. After dinner you get on the internet and do a search for the name of the company you are applying for. You find some information about the history of the founders of the company and you see a picture of the company owner with your great uncle Jim and another unknown man. You call your great uncle and it turns out he grew up with the loading dock owner in a low income neighborhood. You nearly shed a tear as he tells you the story of the company owner's rise from poverty.\n\nYou are pleased to find that the loading dock company is a very charitable company. You find that they have been spotlighted by the local paper and one humanitarian magazine for their efforts to help low-income families in the area. While reading a brief article from last years paper, you are impressed to find that they award a full scholarship to one student each year to the local university. \n\nYou even have time to find a web page with a couple suggestions for how to do well in an interview. You make a few quick notes for yourself about what you've just learned and head back to your bedroom. You set your alarm and place the notes you made about the company close to your lamp so you'll remember to review them in the morning. You set the alarm for an hour and a half early so you'll have time to eat a good breakfast and get to the interview on time. You smile as your heavy eyelids droop and you fall fast asleep. \n\nYou awake to the merciless pounding of your alarm clock which you quickly silence with a backhand swat. You see the alarm clock and feel surprisingly well rested for the early hour is displays. You eat breakfast and shower taking your time to wash behind your ears like mom always said. You brush your teeth, use mouthwash, and even have a little extra time to floss. You walk to the closet and peruse your options looking for that perfect outfit. You want to dress nicely, but are unsure what that means. You poke at your grandfathers old tuxedo you wore to your friends wedding recently. You remember how good you had looked in that. Then you think about the pictures you saw when researching the company the night before. The managers were dressed semi casual and you consider wearing the khaki pants and the polo shirt flanking the old tuxedo.\n\n<<tiddler "Outfit">>
